"On my way to Pennsylvania." - Mile Marker, Dropout Year
No, I'm not going to Pennsylvania any time soon. It's just a good song :)
My day sucked. I don't feel like complaining to the whole world because that's annoying, but yeah.
I posted about my day on FMyLife.com. I hope it gets up on the site, because it definitely deserves it.
I hate myself right now.
~:@ ~:@ ~:@ ~:@ ~:@ ~:@ ~:@ ~:@ ~:@
And I've been hiding in my basement since 4:30, because it's SO HOT. Honestly, two weeks ago it was SNOWING. Now it's NINETY PLUS DEGREES. Bipolar, much?
You know, I have a heck of a lot more to complain about, but I really don't feel like it.
This whole blogging thing is getting pretty boring.

"You remind me of a few of my famous friends..."
"...well, that all depends on what you qualify as friends."
-I Have Friends in Holy Spaces, Panic at the Disco
I kinda wanted it to be summer, but I forgot how HOT summer is!!
It felt like it was about 90 degrees today...or more!
And it's only April.
Seriously, less than a month ago it was snowing.
And two weeks ago I was sitting on Rehoboth beach wrapped up in a sweatshirt and a blanket because it was so cold.
Now I'm sitting on my bed sweating to death in shorts and a tanktop.
Talk about bipolar! My homeroom teacher is nothing compared to this weather!
Everyone's wishing that summer would hurry up and come already, but I'm not sure I'm ready for summer '09.
See, I think deep down inside me, I'm sort of secretly afraid of the passing of time. After summer '08 being the worst summer of my life, I've finally found the friends I've been looking for and a place where I fit in. I've given up myself a little bit, but I think I'll have more time to find me again in the summer.
So anyways, just 6 1/2 months ago, I walked through the Gateway and into my life at NDP. I knew absolutely no one, and I wasn't sure what to expect at this new school. And honestly, I LOVE being a freshman. I love that everyone thinks we're so cute, I love how no one took us seriously at Gym Meet, I love how we can piss the seniors off, and I love how it's okay to ask questions all the time.
But next year, I'm going to be a freaking SOPHOMORE!!!
Wowww.
And college? That's only 3 years off?
Pardon my language, but holy shit.
I know, I know, I'm 14 years old, and I shouldn't be worrying about growing old. I should just be having fun. Trust me, I am. But I've only got 31 days of school left to be a freshman. I want more time :(

"Late nights and early parades..."
"Streetlights and crowded arcades." - On the Wing, Owl City
Today was Friday :)
I got my World Cultures test back, and I GOT A 99%!!!!! I wanted to jump up and scream and dance around the room and then run down the hallways yelling, but the test wasn't hugely impacting and that would have been rude, anyways.
But the thing is, I usually get around an 85 on WC tests. I studied SO HARD for this test. Like 3 hours! I sat in front of my chalkboard with my printed-out notes in front of me memorizing about a million different dates and names.
The reason why I didn't get a 100 was because of my essay. The essay was the majority of the test, so thank God Mr. Lopez isn't picky. For one part he wrote "Not quite: -1".
~:(
But whatever. I'm happy now.
And I resisted ice cream again tonight! That's the second night in a row :)
I'm working on my will power and starting to exercise in order to lose weight and not drown once swim team starts up again in June.
I jumped on Rosa's trampoline for like 30 minutes :)
Alrighty, this is getting boring, and my butt hurts.
CYAL8ER! :)

I'm in Health Class
We're doing a worksheet on the male reproductive system.
Listen to this:
"The penis is the male organ of reproduction, urination, and sexual pleasure."
Yes, there was emphasis put on the "sexual pleasure" by my teacher.
And then while doing a PowerPoint on the female reproductive system, my teacher said:
"Be proud of your hymen! Your time will come, darlings."
Can you imagine hearing your teacher say that? Awkward, much.
Thank God I go to an all-girls school. Having guys in the class would make it even weirder.
I mean, I'm not saying that sex ed and all that isn't important. It totally is!! It's just awkward, and you know it.
See ya later. Time for bio.

Back to School
Today is my first day back to school from spring break.
I'm in school right now ;)
No, I'm serious. We have laptops, and this site is actually NOT blocked! (They block everything fun on the school server)
I'm so sunburned on my legs and face that it feels like I'm on fire. D:
And I'm really scared about this dude in my neighborhood.
Alright, I've got to go. My teacher is telling us to put down our computers.
Bye! (:

I Don't Know What to Title This
The title explains it! I didn't know what to name this, mainly because it's just going to be pointless rambling about my life.
You know, even though only two people follow me, neither one of whom actually uses her blog, I've found that I like blogging. I like it because writing in a diary takes too much time and is kind of annoying. I'm always on the computer anyway, and I'm a pretty fast typer, so why not blog? So much easier :)
So today I ate way too much JUNK. JUNK meaning CHOCOLATE. CHOCOLATE meaning KIT-KATS and PEANUT M&M'S. Oh, and also the head of a CHOCOLATE BUNNY. *Groans*. So when I worked out on the treadmill (listening to Folie a Deux), I only ended up burning off the chocolate bunny. I'm pathetic when it comes to food :(
Also today, I went shopping with my mom. She went to Staples and got a binder, then Safeway to get some bananas, which we easily could have stolen because they were sitting outside of the store, for some reason....But we didn't take them. No, we were good citizens and paid $.58 for them. :)
Then we went to Barnes&Noble. I got some magazine that I don't even remember the title of. I got it for the main reason that it had an article on ROB PATTINSON and TAYLOR LAUTNER!! And a huge, gorgeous poster of Robert. I cleaned off the wall above my bulletin board just for it :)
I'm looking at it right now. Robert Pattinson is soo hot <3
I also bought this book called Twilight Director's Notebook. It's a book written by the director of Twilight.
As you can plainly see, I LOVE TWILIGHT.
But not overly. I'm not obsessed with it at all. I swear. I don't obsess over things. It's just that the books were amazingly written (almost as great as Harry Potter) and that Rob and Taylor are hot. That's all.
I'm gonna go read that book now. :)
PS. Heading to the beach tomorrow. I'm taking my laptop so I can study for the Catcher in the Rye test I'm having when we get back from break, but there's not going to be internet in the crappy apartment we're staying at.
So I won't be on for a while.

"And this is the song you'll wish I hadn't written..."
"...with the right amount of truth that you just can't ignore."
ILOVEDROPOUTYEAR :D
My toenails are kind of painted a totally gorgeous color right now. They're powder blue, for the NDP Class of 2012 :) <3
Ew, I smell something really gross. I'll BRB...
It was burnt popcorn. Probably my mom watching another movie, like she does every night.
20 Things I Did Today (in No Particular Order):
1. Took two showers
2. Ran in sweats, a tanktop, a camo jacket that didn't match the other clothes I was wearing, and my mom's too-small shoes in the rain to Elizabeth's house to put the $6.01 I owed her in her mailbox.
3. Realized after running back home that I shouldn't have left money in an unsealed envelope in someone's mailbox. [[I'm really stupid]].
4. Had a conversation with my parents about how this world is filled with freaks.
5. Learned that cannibals aren't just in scary movies. (sick sick sick!)
6. Thought about ghosts for a while.
7. Listened to Dropout Year, Playradioplay!, Nevershoutnever!, and the Twilight soundtrack :)
8. Translated two 1/2 pages of Marcelino Pan y Vino. It took about an hour.
9. Sat on facebook for a while, wanting someone to talk to.
10. Texted Andrew
11. Talked to my biffle Katie on the phone about random things...she always has so many guy problems, and I seriously can't keep up with them.
12. Zoned out for a while until Katie yelled at me to listen. I <3 our friendship ;)
13. Chewed way more gum than is probably healthy.
14. Told my little brother that there is NO WAY IN THIS WORLD that I am accepting his friend request on facebook. He shouldn't even have one; he's only 12!
15. Saw a centipede, screamed, watched it scurry away on its hundreds of legs, and stood on my basement steps for 10 minutes until I mustered up the courage to walk down there again.
16. Ran on the treadmill for 45 minutes.
17. Finished The City of Ember. Started reading The People of Sparks for about the zillionth time.
18. Studied Spanish flashcards. (to wake up = divertirse; to get up = levantarse; to go to bed = acostarse; to fall asleep = dormirse)
19. Felt proud of myself for being able to remember those four words - I'd had a lot of trouble with them at first.
20. Finished this long list of pointless and random things.
'Night! :)

Another day...
It's raining.
I've only been awake for 2 1/2 hours and I've already eaten too much food.
I just finished The City of Ember. It was pretty good. I want to see the movie, now.
I should probably get to work on my Spanish homework: translating pages of a short Spanish novel called Marcelino Pan Y Vino. It's about Spanish monks who take in a poor niƱo sin padres - child without parents. (I don't know how to say orphan in Spanish)
Anyway, it's in a verb tense that we haven't learned yet, so I can't understand any of it. I have to look up every other word in my Spanish dictionary. My dad will be happy to know that the $5.99 he paid for the dictionary wasn't wasted.
I should probably get to work on that.
But first, I have to edit a photo on Picnik.
Did I mention I'm addicted to Picnik? You should check it out (:

Hello :)
I'm Shannon.
Yeah.
I'm not really much of an interesting person, in my opinion.
No one will want to read this, probably.
But honestly, that's okay with me.
So.
Today was the first Tuesday of spring break.
All the public school kids went back today, so I couldn't hang out with my neighborhood friends.
:(
I watched Twilight tonight for the third time. I <3 Rob Pattinson :)
I do NOT <3 Kirsten Stewart. She is a terrible Bella.
I wanted to do a lot of things today, such as working out, doing Spanish homework, and reading The City of Ember. But I slept through my alarm and woke up at 2:00 in the freaking afternoon.
So because it's only 11:00 PM, i'm not tired.
Let's make this blog a little more interesting.
10 Things I'm Doing Right Now:
1. Typing this, obviously.
2. Chewing the Trident Original Mint gum my mom got me for Easter :)
3. Lying on my bed with my feet kicked up
4. Tapping my toes on the wooden head of my bed.
5. Breathing :)
6. Sniffling...a cold coming on? I hope not :(
7. Being annoyed at my gym meet poster because it keeps rolling up at the edges
8. Wearing pj's
9. Wondering if I would make a good vampire.
10. Thinking about how this list didn't make the blog more interesting at all.
